EF-M 18-55 IS STM ... EOS M 의 번들렌즈인데요, 쓰면 쓸수록 이건 번들렌즈 수준이 아닌겁니다.
하지만 인터넷상의 리플은 이건 쓰레기... 그것도 EOS M 유저도 아닌 다른 기종 사용자를의 리플들...
그래서 자료를 찾아봤습니다.

APS-C 급에서는 F8 이후로는 회절 현상이 나타나기 시작해서 그 위는 의미가 없음. F8 아래만 보면 됨.
캐논은 18mm 광각으로 갈수록 화질이 좋고, 삼성은 30mm 중간 화각대가 가장 화질이 좋음.

반면 Samsung NX 18-55 는 F11 에서도 노란 색이 많음.

Imatest shows that the lens is quite sharp throughout its zoom range when paired with the EOS M. At 18mm f/3.5 the lens hits 2,314 lines per picture height, noticeably better than the 1,800 lines we used to define a sharp photo. Zooming to 35mm limits the maximum aperture to f/5, and the lens manages 2,268 lines there. At its maximum 55mm focal length the lens notches 2,285 lines at f/5.6. Sharpness is excellent, but the lens does show a good bit of distortion.

I was very happy with the image quality of the EOS M system as a whole – and as that is obviously thanks to this lens as well, I think it’s safe to start out by saying this lens performs very well optically

The photographs I took with this lens were sharp overall – with the best quality images coming with the lens stopped down to around f5.6-8 – with very nice, natural, bright colors.

The Canon 18-55mm IS STM is the only zoom lens available specifically for the EOS-M cameras, which as of January 2013, is only the Canon EOS-M.

Luckily, this is a swell lens: super sharp at every setting with great image stabilization but more ghosts than other lenses. Don't take this performance for granted; the Sony DT 18-55mm SAM and Sony NEX E 18-55mm OSS are awful by comparison!

This Canon EF-M 18-55 IS STM is the best 18-55mm lens I've tested for Canon. This makes perfect sense because the EF-M format allows the lens designers the freedom to place the rear elements much closer to the sensor than the EF-S lenses which have to be designed around avoiding the flipping mirror of DSLRs
EF-M 18-55 IS STM 은 지금까지 18-55 표준 줌 영역대의 Canon 랜즈중 최고의 성능을 보여준다(ken rockwell 은 렌즈를 많이 리뷰합니다). EF-M 미러리스 포멧은 DSLR 의 미러가 없고 그렇게 때문에 렌즈의 후면을 Sensor 에 더욱 가깝게 붙일수 있기 때문일 것이다.
I'm sort of ashamed on Sony's part, but the Sony DT 18-55mm SAM and Sony NEX E 18-55mm OSS are poor by comparison. The Sony lenses are much softer and more distorted.
Sony DT 18-55mm SAM, Sony NEX E 18-55 OSS 따위와는 비교하지 말라. Sony 렌즈는 훨씬 흐리고 왜곡도 심하다.
Canon doesn't screw around when it comes to lenses; Canon is an optical company first and foremost, not a stereo equipment company like Sony.
캐논은 (바디와 센서에서는 놀고먹었지만) 렌즈에서는 빈둥거리지 않았다. 캐논은 광학 렌즈 제조업체의 선두이며, 이거저거 하는 Sony 와는 차원이 다르다.
It performs magnificently, so I'd strongly suggest it for the EOS-M if you want a zoom. You could use the Canon EF Adapter M and any other EF-S 18-55mm lens, but the combination becomes much bigger than you'd expect, defeating the purpose of the tiny EOS-M — and it's not as good optically as this lens.
이 렌즈의 성능은 엄청나다. EOS-M 에 줌랜즈가 필요하다면 나는 이것을 강력히 추천한다. Canon EF Adapter M 과 EF-s 18-55 를 대신 사용할수도 있지만, 생각보다 덩치도 크고, 성능은 훨씬 뒤떨어진다.

The only real review I know of is Slrgear, which shows the 18-55mm kit as sharper than the (far more expensive) Nikon 17-55 f2.8 and right on par with the 'not-a-kit-lens' Fujinon XF 18-55mm ƒ/2.8-4 R LM OIS.
slrgear 란 리뷰 사이트를 보니, EOS M 번들인 18-55 가 훨씬 비싼 Nikon 17-55 f2.8 을 쳐바르고, Fujinon XF 18-55mm ƒ/2.8-4 R LM OIS ( 140만원짜리 렌즈 ) 랑 대등한 성능을 보이네요.
In fact it shows the zoom at 24mm to be about as sharp as the 22mm lens at f4, f5.6, and f8!
줌렌즈의 24mm 영역에서 @ f4, @f5.6, @f8 결과가 , 22mm 단렌즈만큼 선명해요.
Is this true? Is the kit zoom, although not a fast lens, optically top-notch? Did Slrgear just get a one in a hundred sample?이게 진짜임? 줌번들이라 렌즈가 어둡지만 , 이렇게 좋을수가 있음 ? slrgear 가 운좋게 좋은 렌즈를 하나 뽑은거임?
The mtf curves also look extremely good. I wonder why Canon did so well on the lenses, with better performance than their EF equivalents?

For some reason the EF-M 18-55 has been tagged as the "kit lens". The truth is the EF-M 22 was the original kit lens and the 18-55 was offered separately.
이런저런이유로 지금은 EF-M 18-55 가 번들 렌즈가 되었지만, 원래 번들 렌즈는 22mm 단렌즈였고, 18-55 가 추가 구매 랜즈였다.
But like you, I used the lens review at slrgear.com and came to the same conclusion.

The 22 is sharp in the center but slightly above average in the corners wide open, sharpens up nicely by f4.
22mm 렌즈는 f2 에서 중앙은 선명하지만 주변부는 약간 떨어졌고, f4 에서는 매우 선명해졌다.
The 18-55 starts out pretty sharp across the entire image (wide end) and peaks at f5.6. The 22 peaks at f4 and looks identical to the 18-55.

At the long end the 18-55 is sharpest wide open and only loses a small amount of sharpness at f8.

For my shooting I've been using this lens at f5.6 or f8 and find it almost as sharp as my EF 50/1.4 stopped down to f4.

Canon's MTF charts are impressive too, with the 18-55 out in front of the 22. The charts also do a good job of showing how the corner sharpness on the 22 drops off much faster.

The 22 seems to get all the accolades and it's great lens based on images posted here, but at the end of the day I went for the 18-55.

Image stabilization is a hard thing to pass up and the zoom provides flexibility when composing shots. I'll probably pick up the lens adapter at some point and look forward to trying out my holy trinity (50/1.4, 85/1.8, and 100/2.8 non-IS macro) on the M.

I've been impressed with the build quality. The zoom and focus rings have a nice "L" like quality to them. The lens barrel does have a small amount of wobble when fully extended but overall it's a very nice "kit lens".
렌즈의 만듦새도 매우 훌륭하다. 줌링과 포커스링은 마치 L 렌즈의 그것과 같은 수준이다. 망원에서 렌즈가 돌출될때 약간 흔들리는 유격이 있지만 전반적으로 매우 뛰어난 번들 렌즈이다.
